My ‘Place’ collection of paintings is inspired by the significance of our surroundings and the places we find ourselves in.

I became more interested in this when I moved to Dublin, and found it strangely comforting seeing the Poolbeg Chimneys of Dublin Bay whenever arriving back in by air or sea. It brought into focus for me the connection we feel to the things in our environment and how they make a place feel like home.
